I Need Coffee - Episode 225 - Weekly BC Review! (sep 18, 2026)

1. DIY Brake Job Complete
Replaced rotors and pads in 90°F / high-humidity garage conditions. Advics high-carbon rotors + Akebono pads (≈58% of Toyota OEM price) work excellently. Key lesson: click-style torque wrenches struggle in tight wheel wells — a digital torque wrench is worth it. Total tool investment (~$500 including 3-ton jack) paid for itself on the first job.

2. Tools Philosophy
You don’t need Snap-on. Harbor Freight sockets, impact wrench, and jack stands performed flawlessly. The real questions are: Do you own basic tools? Can you use them effectively? Same questions apply to AL development, pipelines, Git, and AI coding tools.

3. **Daniela’s CapCut Sponsor Video**
Marketing associate created a polished animated promo video for the Vibe 2.0 sponsored drink entirely on her phone using CapCut. Timeline editing, graphics, and AI features — produced in Berlin, El Salvador. Impressive capability growth.

4. DocuSign Security Warning
Replying to a DocuSign email can hand the sender the unique signing link. They can then sign the document as you. Free/anonymous users have essentially no 2FA or identity verification beyond possession of that link. Never reply or forward the original DocuSign message.

5. Claude Step-by-Step UI
New interface delivers instructions one clear step at a time with a “Next” button instead of dumping long walls of text. Excellent for complex tasks such as exporting full Azure DevOps pipeline logs.

6. Bill.com + MEM User Guide Published
Long-delayed comprehensive user guide for the complex Bill.com Multi-Entity Management integration is now live on the Blue Dragonfly documentation site.

7. AIO (AI Optimization) Verification
After an AI engine incorrectly attributed a “scheduling” feature to the product, Steve ran a three-way consistency check (marketing website ↔ user guides ↔ source code). Fixed several small inaccuracies that crawlers had already indexed. Important for anyone whose documentation feeds AI answers.

8. Omarchy on a 2012 Mac Mini
Successfully installed and ran the opinionated Linux distro on a previously unusable 2012 Mac Mini (one bad RAM stick removed). Extremely fast install, pre-configured, and surprisingly responsive even on old hardware.

9. Vibe 2.0 Ready
Both presentations finalized (“Marketing without a Marketing Team” and “Prospect to Proposal in Hours”). Discount code **Dragonfly15**. Blue Dragonfly is also sponsoring the pre-keynote Sip & Settle drinks at Summit NA.

10. QR Codes & Forms
Long URLs produce dense, unusable QR codes. Always shorten first. qrcode-monkey.com produces attractive, branded, logo-embedded codes. Daniela configured Brevo forms (free tier) with QR codes for lead capture.

11. Obvious Ad Tracking
After exploring Brevo, targeted Brevo ads appeared on Reddit — the second consecutive week of highly specific behavioral targeting (previous week was brake parts).

12. Cybersecurity Notes
    - Revolut incident: attackers compromised Italian police email systems and issued legitimate-looking data requests; Revolut complied and released detailed account data on ~630 customers (including crypto holdings).
    - Google Pixel: zero-click cellular modem firmware vulnerability requiring physical proximity.
    - Linux kernel: hundreds of new CVEs being triaged (AI-assisted), with 65+ reported in a single day on top of prior batches.

13. Team Highlights
    - Fatima leading the cybersecurity remediation project (inventory complete, testing underway) and organizing the El Coyolar Christmas festival toy shopping.
    - Franklin handling marketplace app fixes and a particularly tricky multi-change-request PTE.
    - Daniela now maintaining multiple websites via Claude Code CLI (Blue Dragonfly, docs, ERP Center of Excellence, personal sites) and handling marketing assets.
    - Ronald continuing Continia Document Capture implementations + ERP Academy + English Academy.
